Membership Requirements
In order to apply for a membership in the National Honor Society, students must achieve the following:
2020 Member Application
Applications will be due October 20, 2021 at 4:00 PM.
*Applications will not be accepted after4:00 pm! No Exceptions.
- Maintain a Grade Point Average of 90+ or maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Accumulate 30 OUT-OF-SCHOOL community service hours
- *hours can be obtained from June 1st of the summer prior application year until the deadline for the application.
- Complete an NHS application
- Resume, Goals and Aspirations essay, letters of recommendation, etc.

Maintaining Your Membership
Current members of NHS must maintain 20 hours of community service, 5 hours of School Service, along with 2 service projects per semester. A Grade Point Average of 90+ (unweighted) or 3.5+ (weighted) is required, along with noteworthy attendance to all meetings, and functions. Members are expected to maintain an exceptional presence on campus, and at all NHS Functions.
Member Dues of $25 to be collected from every member in September.

Transfer Membership
Members who transfer in from a different school are responsible for contacting an advisor within a reasonable time. Transfer members must produce the following:
- Certificate of Membership
- Contact Information of Previous Advisor
